Description
This statutory report presents the most significant management challenges facing the Department, as identified by the OIG. The report includes detailed information on each challenge; an assessment of the actions and plans the Department has taken specific to challenge, and further actions the Department needs to address the challenge. For FY 2021, we identified five management challenges: (1) implementing the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act (CARES Act); (2) oversight and monitoring; (3) data quality and reporting; (4) improper payments; and (5) information technology security.
